WORKING WITH MULTIPLE SMARTS !!

MULTIPLE SMARTS

Everyone learns in a different way using some different intelligences.We need to promove in our classes activities to develope each smart.Come on try it  and your pupils will learn everything much better!!

In the end of this term we are going to work  in this way .The theme  will be " Looking for Shakespeare ".Our pupils are waiting really exited that moment. 

You can see another interesting projects using Multiple Intelligences  during this year in this blog,in the part of Educational Innovation(January).

Today(June 17th) with about 200 pupils ,we have had a cooperative Gymkana "Looking for Shakespeare".Different characters were waiting for us in the streets of Salamanca.Our pupils had to find out plays,sentences, to meet with interesting people across the town...they have learnt a lot of things about this writer!!!!

1- We will watch -Video Shakespeare learnenglishkids home

2-We'll hand out photocopies about everything that they have  watched working in groups of three.The  group which finishes first will win a Shakespeare stamp. 

3-We'll make a Shakespeare minibook.They will need to make it to see a video called

"Shakespeare  booklet  activity village”  

4-Children will resolve crosswords.

5-With some Shakespeare´s portraits we will decorate them with the thecnique of Pop Art-Comic.

6-Music from Shakespeare time.

7- Finally we are going to do a rubric to evaluate this project in a booklet that we are going to give them.

WRITING STORIES: SOUP OF TALES ,ROLL THE DICES...

 

SOUP OF TALES !!!

This activity from  Macmillan book titled  +100 ideas for children is a good way to start writing stories with children from Primary.

 

We are going to work in cooperative groups of three using one set of cubes .Each child has to colour only one cube and to make it.Then each pupil has to throw the cube and the soup of tales will be ready!!

A cube with letter B-will be the beginning,the cube with M -will be the middle and the cube with E will be the ending.They have got in each cube six different pictures with classic tales(Cinderella,Goldilocks,Hansel and Gretel,The Ugly Duckling,Sleeping Beauty and Three Goats Gruff) .

Now,they will have to create the new original story.We need to provide them useful expressions like Once upon a time,Long time ago...or They lived happily ever after... Each group will write a new tale with the parts that they have in their dices and they will try to fit them .Their stories will be funny and original!!!

ROLL  &  WRITE A STORY
