Today ,I have started a new project  about"Saint Andrew´s  day"- using a new resource of learning  with Multiple Smarts.

I´ve used a thinking routine "Look,think and wonder" to motivate my pupils  in the begining of this activity.

This has been really  useful and I´ve been able to know in which themes they are interested  and whatever they expected.

                                          Another way to learn English

Using concept maps with our classmates is a good  learning resource, because children can improve their English skills ,such as :  speaking,writing,organizing their ideas...

 Concept maps are completely useful , for the reason that you can assess reading,speaking ,writing and their creativity too.

Look at this project with sixth grade pupils. about the themes : Jobs-" I Want to be"  and Collections-  "I collect"

A NEW RESOURCE IN OUR CLASSES!!

Durante el curso 2016-17 en el Colegio vamos a utilizar la biblioteca de lecturas infantiles en inglés english.kuaderno.com. Con los audiolibros  podrán leer y escuchar lecturas en inglés adaptadas a su nivel y a su edad utilizando kuaderno.com en casa, en un ordenador o en tablet. Al final de cada lectura, los alumnos deberán realizar un pequeño test de comprensión, y podrán ir avanzando autónomamente por los 26 niveles de dificultad creciente, ganando puntos, y mejorando su habilidad para leer y comprender el idioma inglés.

Os recomendamos que les animéis a que lean en la Web english.kuaderno.com al menos tres veces por semana, durante 15 minutos. Los audiolibros de Kuaderno son una variedad de cuentos clásicos y lecturas, y son un material complementario de apoyo para mejorar el aprendizaje del inglés.

La primera vez que lo usen en casa, quizá necesiten que les echéis una mano, pero después enseguida lo podrán hacer autónomamente.

En el aula no sólo aprovecharemos este recurso didáctico  para desarrollar las cuatro destrezas básicas en el aprendizaje del idioma (Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading-) sino también, para realizar trabajos cooperativos  y afianzar  los conceptos   con dictados  , repasos de Gramática, de vocabulario… usando tanto la pizarra digital  de las clases como el Aula Multimedia del colegio.

Los libros infantiles en inglés son una buena forma de mejorar la comprensión del idioma de manera lúdica. Desde el Colegio sabemos que contamos con vuestra colaboración como padres para animar a vuestros hijos/as a leer y escuchar los libros de english.kuaderno.com

A FIRST TERM WITH MANY PROJECTS TO OUR PUPILS!!

We´ve started a new school year with many good wishes!!

 We have done different interesting projects  with our pupils during this term.

We use routines to help students know what they have to do, when to do it and even why and we work in cooperative groups so that  everybody is able to improve with the help of each other.

In September we came back to school and we started drawing and coloring in different ways mixing primary and secondary colors with pencil crayons,wax crayons and using brushes too.We have learnt about the proportions of the human body and we have drawn our self  portraits, a friend's figure, a still life and we have started using grids in different scales to  copy pictures in different sizes.

Last Saturday in October the clocks went back and Halloween came back again. We sang different songs about Halloween such as: ”the skeleton dance ”or

 “ Pumkin ,pumkin” and we have done funny crafts and projects, such as why Halloween,

Halloween sweet bags, pumkins ,bats ,ghosts ,haunted houses and other scary characters.

How nice were our classes and the corridors in the school!!!

On the 5th November another important  festival called Bonfire night was celebrated in England and we taught about this tradition in the school. It is very important that our pupils learn about  English culture festivals and other interesting customs from other countries.

In Arts and Crafts ,we have recycling plastic bottles caps and we have been able to create new things.Have a look!!

Currently ,we are looking forward to Christmas  and we are sure that there will be  many more susprises waiting for everybody at the end of the term!!!!
