A VISIT TO LONDON
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eZ9UTMvVXk

A first term with many projects to our pupils!!!

We started a new school year with many good wishes!!

We have done different interesting projects  with our pupils during this term.

We use routines to help students know what they have to do, when to do it and even why and we work in cooperative groups so that  everybody is able to improve with the help of each other.

In September we came back to school and we started drawing and coloring in different ways mixing primary and secondary colors with pencil crayons, wax crayons and using brushes too.We have learnt about the proportions of the human body and we have drawn our self  portraits, a friend's figure, a still life and we have started using grids in different scales to  copy pictures in different sizes.

Last Saturday in October the clocks went back and Halloween came back again. We sang different songs about Halloween such as: the skeleton dance or

Pumkin ,pumkinand we have done funny crafts and projects, such as why Halloween,

Halloween sweet bags, pumkins ,bats ,ghosts ,haunted houses and other scary characters.

How nice were our classes and the corridors in the school!!!

On the 5th November another important  festival called Bonfire night was celebrated in England and we taught about this tradition in the school. It is very important that our pupils learn about  English culture festivals and other interesting customs from other countries.

Currently ,we are looking forward to Christmas  and we are sure that there will be  many more susprises waiting for everybody at the end of the term!!!!

                                                                  CHRISTMAS SONGS
ANOTHER CHRISTMAS WITH US!!!

We have a children´s concert when we offer presents to those less fortunate than ourselves.

Our children have been busy making things for Christmas, such as: angels, Christmas cards, Advent flowers, snowflakes  or funny stokings…

They have also been learning several English carols and Christmas songs  like: Santa, Santa high in the sky, The busy elf and White Christmas.

The children enjoyed performing short plays, for example, a Christmas carol by Dickens. They also had fun learning different seasonal  dances.

We wish the school  community  a Merry Christmas and a happy 2016.

ABOUT THE ACTIVITIES OF THE SECOND TERM

We had a winter full of vocabulary ,winter songs which the children really enjoyed singing and lots of practical crafts projects in English.

The special days this term were: Carnival and Father´s day.

Carnival provided an opportunity for the children to learn about this festival in other cultures and to dress up in costume.

Father´s day which is an important event for our pupils and a time to think about the love given to them  by their fathers.

We finish the term on a high note with our British Day!! You can see all about  British day  in the school web page.

A Very Special Easter

SPRING IS HERE!!!!

This term we will be working on the themes of spring and summer.

Spring flowers and beautiful new foliage on the trees and shrubs, we can all come out of our hibernation and get a bit more active. Spring is a great time to explore nature with our children .

As part of our celebration of spring we have celebrated Easter with different type of activities(“Easter eggs”,”Easter holidays writings”…)
Easter is an important Christian festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. There are many different customs for celebrating Easter around the world, but the Friday before Easter Sunday (Good Friday) and the Monday after are given as a bank holiday in the UK.
Early celebrations included the painting of eggs, which represented Jesus' empty tomb. Now we give Easter eggs - often chocolate - to friends and family, and have Easter egg hunts for eggs hidden by the Easter bunny.

Reading is an important activity for the children education and because of this we keep “Book Day”.

World Book Day is recognised by over 100 countries around the world.  Its purpose is to encourage reading and a love of books in children

Last term the children had Father´s day and now we are going to talk about Mothers and how important Mothers are for our pupils.
